New Year Kodachadri Trek

Kodachadri is one of the most beautiful trekking destinations & is the 10the highest peak of Karnataka. It is a part of the Mookambika national park known for its rich variety of flora & fauna. The trail through deep jungles, open meadows, grasslands & a jeep track gives you spectacular views & a chance to experience the tranquility of nature. You also get to cross the famous ‘Hidlumane falls’ on this trek.

Also Kodachadri trek is one of its kind trek where you get a glimpse of the ‘Arabian sea’ from the peak. Watching the sun set into the sea from the summit is pure bliss. ​

Is this trip right for you?

The homestay we stay at is clean & well-maintained.  However, Kodachadri being a remote location, luxuries such as cots & beds, fans etc can’t be expected. Part of the experience here is learning to be resourceful with the available facilities. Internet access is scarce and is unreliable when it’s available. But you must know that though there’s no WiFi in nature, you’ll get a stronger connection. This is a no-frills trip to a relatively remote place therefore food will be basic.

Things to carry

Don’t worry about packing too much or too little. Here’s just everything that you need to carry- a rucksack, a water bottle, torch, sunglasses, sunscreen, personal medicine, a pair of clothes, undergarments, socks, a towel, toilet kit, portable charger, flip-flops, hiking shoes. And, a camera to capture the memories(optional).Don’t forget to bring loads of enthusiasm 🙂
